We will:
- Support proactive fuel reduction and forest health coordination
- Strengthen evacuation route planning and emergency communication systems
- Support volunteer fire districts with sustainable planning
- Improve coordination between county, state, and federal agencies
Goal: Be prepared before the smoke arrives.
Proactive Budgeting
Pillar 2: Identifying Budget Issues, Implementing Solutions Early
County government's first responsibility is to maintain the systems families rely on every day.
We will:
- Prioritize tightening the budget to more sustainable levels
- Coordinate infrastructure budget decisions with economic impact in mind
- Review department fees
- Balance growth with infrastructure capacity
Goal: A stable, sustainable county budget that supports essential services today while preparing responsibly for tomorrow.
Efficient Government
Pillar 3: Performance Over Politics
If government can't operate efficiently and sustainably, young families cannot afford to live here and our communities shrink.
We will:
- Streamline and clarify permitting timelines
- Protect rural character while expanding opportunity
- Support agriculture and rural industries
- Ensure county departments are responsive and timely
Goal: Make it possible for working families to stay in Okanogan County.

County government should be steady, accessible, and clear.
We will:
- Promote regulatory clarity and predictability
- Increase transparency around infrastructure spending
